NOTES
- Cronk Urleigh
- Mary Ann was the daughter of John Mylrea and Margaret Barrie als Brew
- This is the first record of Mary Ann conducting business on her own behalf. She had previously only attended Court to apply for the guardianship of her brother after their father's death in 1887
- She married John Corkill Watterson Cowley in 1891.
- Is it a coincidence that the calling in of this B&S for £200 occurred just 3 weeks after JCW Cowley had purchased 23 CIrcular Road at auction for £566 Perhaps the mortgage for £200 taken two weeks later was to meet the financial commitment. And perhaps the sale of the property for a negligible profit six months later because the financial obligation was too great.
