MARY ANN MYLREA from Ann Kerruish

Know all men by these presents that Ann Kerruish of Cold Clay in the parish of Onchan, widow, in consideration of the release herein contained, doth hereby give, grant, bargain and forever absolutely sell and convey unto Mary Ann Mylrea of Cronk Urleigh in the parish of Michael all and singular that and those lands and premises to the said Ann Kerruish belonging, situate in the parish of Andreas as well quarterland as intack, the quarterland part being part of the quarterland of Ballakinnag and also the part or parcel adjoining thereto, together with that other parcel of intack detached being a part adjoining the sea shore commonly known as part of "The Warren" or Fern rent, including and meaning to include in the foregoing description the whole of the lands and premises belonging to the said Ann Kerruish, situate in the said parish of Andreas and to which she became entitle by Deed of Sale from Elizabeth Cleator, bearing date the fifteenth day of December one thousand eight hundred and eighty

To have and to hold the same with all ways, waters, watercourses, liberties, easements, rights, members, privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining unto the said Mary Ann Myrea, her heirs and assigns from the day of the date hereof, absolutely forever, she the said Mary Ann Mylrea, her heirs and assigns yielding and paying the Lord's rent, tithe and taxes and also doing, paying and performing all boons, suits and other services annually or otherwise incumbent thereon and the same are hereby conveyed subject thereto

And the said Mary Ann Mylrea in her own right as beneficiary and as Executrix of the will of John Mylrea, later of Michael aforesaid, farmer, deceased, in consideration of the foregoing conveyance doth hereby release, acquit and discharge the said Ann Kerruish and the estate of the said Elizabeth Cleator, deceased, from all claim, liability and demand in respect of a certain Deed of Bond and Security passed by the said Elizabeth Cleator to the said John Mylrea and dated the twenty eighth day of November one thousand eight hundred and seventy nine and secured and made chargeable upon the lands and premises hereinbefore described

And the said Ann Kerruish doth hereby for herself, her executors and administrators, covenant and engage to and with the said Mary Ann Mylrea, her heirs and assigns that she the said Ann Kerruish hath good right, full power, and lawful authority to sell and convey the said premises in manner afosaid, and that she and they shall and will warrant, maintain, uphold and defend the same unto the said Mary Ann Mylrea, her heirs and assigns from and against the claim, challenge and demand of any and every person

In witness whereof the parties hereto have hereunto subscribed their names this twenty sixth day of September one thousand eight hundred and ninety one. Ann Kerruish her X mark, Mary Ann Mylrea

  2. Mary Ann was the daughter of John Mylrea and Margaret Barrie als Brew
  3. This transaction is the second in a three part land transaction - 1879 John Mylrea loaned £80 to Elizabeth Cleator, 1891 Mary Ann Mylrea took the lands back as part of her role as her father's executor 1891; Mary Ann sold the lands to the Corletts in 1911 This mortgage/loan from John Mylrea to Elizabeth Cleator is the only deed bearing his name as the lender
  4. Elizabeth Cleator probably died in 1884, having settled on Ann Kerruish in 1880
  5. Mary Ann must have called in the debt as her father's executrix and as a result, received the lands that Elizabeth Cleator had offered as security and settled in Ann Kerruish
  6. Mary Ann sold the lands in 1911 for £67/10/-
