The last will and testament of John Corlett of Balla Neddin in the parish of Ballaugh being infirm of body but of sound mind memory and understanding do make my will and testament in manner following
I commend my soul to God and body to Christian burial I will and bequeath to my loving wife … money that we have or coming to us or due to us both notes or deed of mortgages to my daughter Elinor wife of John Mylrea in the parish of Ballaugh .. that my loving wife has the interest or use of said sums of money during her natural life I will to the poor of Ballaugh four pounds I will and bequeath to my loving wife all the rest residue and remainder of any goods effects chattels credits whom I nominate constitute and appoint whole executor and residuary legatee of this my last will and testament and two shillings and sixpence to any person that …. to the contrary of this will.
