This is the last will and testament of me Philip Mylrea I being of sound mind memory and understanding at the time of the making hereof and of the revoking of any former will made by me. I leave, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Margaret Mylrea the whole of my furniture and whatever other effects I may be possessed of at the time of my decease for and during the term of her natural life and afterwards to my daughter Susanna Mary and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said daughter Susanna Mary Mylrea my sole executrix of this my last Will dated this 27th day of August 1885

In Her Majesty’s High Court of Justice of the Isle of Man Common Law Division Testamentary Jurisdiction At the district probate session holden at Douglas on the 13th of November 1888 The annexed paper writing dated the 27th day of August 1885 having been proved to be the last will and testament of Philip Mylrea late of No 12 Demesne Road in the town of Douglas formerly a schoolmaster deceased who died on the 8th day of September 1888. Susanna Mary Mylrea a daughter of the Testator the executrix therein named is sworn well and truly to fulfil and execute the same and to administer the personal estate of the said deceased according to law. - Philip was the school master at St Marks, Malew for most of his life
- Married Margaret Crebbin in Malew: 8 children - Philip Crebbin (baptised 10th August, 1851), Margaret Ann (baptised 3rd June, 1852), Sarah Jane (baptised 19th May, 1854), Susanna Mary (baptised 18th December, 1855), Agnes Eleanor (baptised 2nd April, 1858), Daniel Thomas (baptised 11th June, 1861), Arabella Frances (baptised 26th March, 1863; died 1863), Alfred William (baptised 27th December, 1864)
- Philip went to America and Daniel to the UK; Margaret (Speedie) died probably after the birth of a child, and Alfred died in Brisbane, Australia as a young man; Susanna Mary married Charles Herbert Bates OR William Joseph Dawson in 1902 - the IOMFHS website (Lawson BMD) has identical information for both marriages (even the name of the previous wife!). She was buried as Susanna M. Dawson in 1932
- Agnes (Stowell), Sarah (Corlett) & Susanna (Dawson?) remained on the island
- The witnesses to his will are his son-in-law (Stowell) and his nephew (J.T.Mylrea, son of Thomas, the miller at Glen Wyllin)
