Transcript of the Will of Philip Cowin - 1811
April the 15th, 1806
The last Will and Testament of Phillip Cowin and his wife Margaret, my wife, both of the Parish of KK Lonan
Tirst committing our souls to god and our bodies to Christian Burial and as for our worldly effects we dispose of the same in the following manner:
Item We Leave and Bequeath to our Daughters Ann, Cathrine Isable Judy and Elizabeth 1 [lb] British apiece
Item we Leave and Bequeath to our son Thos 1 [lb] British
Item we Leave and Bequeath 6 [p] Legacy to any person or persons that may clame any right or title to this our Last Will and testament. Lastly I the sd. Phillip Cowin and Margret my wife doth by these presents Leave and Bequeath unto the longest liver of us the sd. Phillip Cowin and Margret Cowin my wife whole and sole Executor of all the rest of our goods and Effect as well movable and Imovable of what kind Nature of Denomination soever

At a Chapter Court holden At Douglas 12th June 1811 Phillip Cowin being deceased the survivor Margaret is sworn execr in Court in form of Law & hath given pledges for the payment of Debts & Legacies namely Edward Cain one of the Witnesses of the Will & Thomas Mylrea --- K.
